I still write checks for a few bills and other things occasionally and I know others do too. No one I know likes the plastic covers that come with the checks. Checkbook covers are basically a smaller version of a journal cover. This small project can be made with scraps or coordinating fat quarters. But if using fat quarters I would lay it out first and make sure there is enough for all the pieces. I like to use all one fabric but I noticed looking around the web many prefer to use coordinating fabrics. The choice is yours.
