Peggy and Me : Miranda Hart :As a fan of Miranda Hart and a long-time dog owner, I happily picked up this book with an expectation of being entertained by a story I could in some way identify with. Such fun! In this her second book, Miranda is telling two stories. The second story and the one I really wanted to hear more about is how owning Peggy helped her come out of a dark place. Maybe my expectation was too high because I laugh out loud at Miranda in her sitcom and regularly use her phrases with friends who also enjoy her humour, but I did not laugh out loud at all and can only say I sniggered a few times. It was what I call, not doing it for me.

Miranda Hart is one of the funniest British comedians. This story is about herself, Miranda , and Peggy her dog, hence the title of the book. Duh Kerry! It starts where she is being conned, very smoothly I might add, by the ladies at the BBC office to look after Peggy just for a few days. Like most of us who are crazy dog people she never let go. Someone not only terrible at owning a dog, but clearly a bit dodgy at life. However I love the bond that she forms with Peggy and I do get the joy that pets can bring. I like Miranda in her more serious role in Call The midwife. Books Miranda Hart Peggy and Me.
